Synovium Mgnium is a dietary supplement that supports the supplementation of magnesium to the daily ration. Magnesium is a macro element that is essential for cell reactions in the body which require ATP, among other things (1). In addition, magnesium is important for regulating calcium levels and supporting nerve and muscle function (2). If the amount of available Magnesium is too low, it disrupts the regulation of Calcium in the muscles which can result in muscle cramps (3). Magnesium deficiency can cause nervousness and irritability in horses due to disturbed stress responses (4).
Magnesium Oxide is absorbed relatively quickly by the body and is therefore quickly available for use (5). Magnesium Chelate is absorbed less quickly but the body absorbs a higher amount in comparison to Magnesium Oxide. Therefore, the combination of these two types of Magnesium offers the most optimal support. B-Vitamins, in addition to Magnesium, promote calm behavior and improve concentration by exerting important functions on the nervous system (6).
